Alpaca Vista Ranch in Colorado
Alpaca Vista Ranch (AVR) has been operating since 2000 in Parker Colorado. Parker is located about 20 miles south and east of Denver. It all started with only a few females and has grown to 18 breeding females and several high quality males. We are a full service ranch providing sales of alpacas and fiber, breeding, boarding and brokering services, new customer support, education, business plan development and marketing assistance. You will see us regularly at alpaca shows and the judges have rewarded our animals with lots of blue ribbons! At Alpaca Vista Ranch our motto is “where value and quality come together”.

Alpaca Vista Ranch raises Huacaya alpacas in all colors and our primary goal is to enhance genetics each generation through selective breeding. The end result is better and better alpacas; meaning alpacas that are healthy, conformationaly strong, fleeces that are dense and uniform in crimp. The health of the animal is very important because if the alpaca is stressed or ill it will show up in the fleece. The fleece shows if an animal has been ill, ran a fever, or was stressed. Fiber is the “crop” of alpaca breeders. Fleece is the key to the future of the alpaca industry and uniformity of the fleeces in color and crimp leads to a better end product. All alpaca breeders should be breeding alpacas for a dense uniformly crimped fleece.
Our Motto is – Where value and quality come together. AVR offers much more than just Alpacas. We treat customers how we want to be treated. Marci is wonderful in working with new breeders. Our focus is really hands on education – We have farms days when one of our valued Vets comes by and we open our farm to neighboring farms – the result is very valuable for the new and existing breeders because everything from ultrasounds, to reproductive issues to herd management topics are seen in real time. Education is the key to successful ownership of alpacas. We provide hands on education for new owners such as halter training, herd health maintenance, birthing, breeding and how to show your alpaca in the show ring. We encourage everyone interested in alpacas’ to visit often and be hands on with the animals.
